“STORIES” by Blakk North, released on May 13, 2022, is a socially conscious hip-hop track shaped by the COVID-19 crisis and the events surrounding it. The song reflects on the fear, confusion, isolation, and uncertainty that affected communities while also looking beyond the pandemic at the deeper struggles exposed during that time. Blakk North uses direct storytelling to question what people experienced, what they were told, and how those events changed the way many viewed society, freedom, health, and one another.
